Special Rules Concerning Inmates
Inmate Correspondence Guitar Courses inmatecorrespondenceguitar.com
Students in correctional facilities are sometimes not allowed to have CD’s. If that is the case in your situation, it’s important that you let us know that you are not allowed to have the audio. Prison authorities will not separate the audio from the written instruction. They will send the entire package back to us if the inmate rules do not allow them to have the audio.
All of the studies, with the exception of Ear Training, can be studied without the audio instruction. It is somewhat more difficult without the advantage of the audio examples. Nevertheless, it is possible and it is done. The written instruction is clear and step by step. The price is the same whether you receive the audio or not.
Be sure to let prison authorities know that you are expecting a package and what the contents of that package will be. Music studies, or music studies and audio via CD if it is allowed.
Let Jim Sutton Institute of Guitar know if there are any special packaging instruction. Studies shipped with audio are wrapped in bubble wrap. Some prison rules do not allow bubble wrap. Let us know if there are special papers that need to be returned in the package, or if any special instructions need to be written on the outside of the package.
Some prison systems require a pre-authorized invoice. Keep in mind that Stage 1, Stage 5, and Stage 6 of The Moving Toward Great Guitar Playing Course each have 2 CD’s rather than just one. If it is allowed, we would like to send you a Welcome Introduction CD along with your Inmate Correspondence Guitar Studies. Be sure to include that in the invoice.
