Personal study plan and curriculum
Inmate Correspondence Guitar Courses
Designing a study curriculum
Designing a study curriculum and Personalized Study Plan helps you define your goals, see where you are, and determine where you want to go. JSIG programs are similar to Prison College Programs in the sense that a certificate is issued on completion of The Music Theory Course for Guitar, and on completion of the Modal and Solo Composition Course for Guitar.
Goals
A goal can be as simple as strumming chords to a form chart, or as complex as wanting to play intricate solos in a professional setting. Professionals and advanced players might just be looking for new input. Having a place to start and knowing what you are shooting for helps explain the purpose of some of the studies along the way.
Information
When you request your free information package from the Jim Sutton Institute of Guitar, the Inmate Correspondence Guitar Course information package will include a questionnaire and profile page form which will help you determine which studies to begin with. If you would like help selecting which studies to begin with, fill out those forms and send them in. They will be reviewed and a study plan will be suggested.
Personalized Study Plan
A curriculum, or study plan, can be adjusted to your needs as you go along.
